Various stuff ...

I made 41 this year...not enough room for all the candles!

Morgan and Lexi try a game of scrabble. Casey and Aaron had to help...
well Aaron taught all of them some words from North Middle school. YIKES!
I'm sure they would not count in a real game of scrabble.

Craft time with Corinne & Delanie
Visitor on the neighbors fence in the back yard. James loves these creatures.

Snow Day!

We started the day with 4 inches of snow.

My snow removal crew...needs some pants & boots!

We didn't worry about matching gloves!

This snow didn't make good snowballs, but was fun sledding.

Snow bunnies...Alexis, Allison, Ali, Corinne & Ariel

Train of sleds

The cardboard sled worked pretty good!

Icicles to finish off our day of snow & ice fun.
As I post this we have been listening to the ice hit for over 2 hours
and weather.com shows much more to come our way. Winter Fun at it's finest!

Festival of Lights

Cincinnati Zoo - January 2, 2009

Alexis was not thrilled about our trip to the Festival of Lights.

She didn't want to be there nor did she want her picture taken.
She did warm up to the trip as we kept walking.

First stop was the Elephant house. They

were up close and personal!

Me and my pretty girls

The giraffes were inside toasty warm and

down for the night.

She finally got into the evening.

The Nativity scene was in the Children's area.

Alexis is getting a look at baby Jesus.

The real live ox resting outside the Nativity

Scene. He was a large fellow!

The girls didn't get to see the live Manatee's, but

checked out the skeleton of one.

Dad & Aaron checking out the snakes.

Ariel and Daddy held hands all night. She was his date
for the evening. Alexis held my hand and ended up
having fun despite herself!
Alexis joins Daddy and Ariel under the lights.

Alexis and Mommy with an extra from Happy Feet

The Penguin wanted a picture with Ariel too.

The penguin walked over and gave Aaron a hand slap then grabbed him

and laid some smack down on him. He about croaked as James got the shot!

Run, Run as fast as you can, but James CAN catch the Gingerbread man and his wife too. James got a gingerbread man for Christmas in 1970.
That gingerbread man still resides with us today.

We enjoyed our night together at the Cincinnati zoo.

New Years Eve 2008

Goodbye to 2008 and Welcome to 2009

We celebrated New Years at the Leist home. They invited all the families who have relocated with James' company to Ohio for a Relocation New Years party. They had neighbors join the party too.
The neighbors all had accents! There was a couple from England. A couple from Ireland who had all of us join hands and sing to ring in the new year.

Mr. Steve and Mrs. Judy had fireworks for kids and they loved them.

Mrs. Judy was such a gracious host. She is out in the cold with Ariel.
The neighbor lady from Ireland was having fun too.

Night vision picture

Clay and Ariel are cold, but having fun with the sparklers.

Ariel, Alexis and Clay make some noise!

Mrs. Judy has decorated her home so beautifully. We really enjoyed the home tour!

Kellie & Sherry warm up by the fire.

We enjoyed our evening with new friends, but had to call an old

friend in St. Louis after we rang in the new year. Ariel had to scream for Mr. John...the new

year just would not have been the same without her

screaming for him. ha ha

Wishing all of you a wonderful 2009.

Williams Christmas in IL

The Williams family gathered for Sunday brunch. Grandma Judy sharing a smile with her grandson Zach, grandson Aaron and great grandson Derrick. Aaron can't stop texting long enough to get a picture showing he has caught his dad in height.

All of the teenagers had the phones going. The texting was constant all afternoon. Made my thumbs hurt just watching them. :) We missed the Bagby family at the brunch this year.

Present Time!

Ariel has made a habit of staying in her pajamas for as many Christmas gatherings as possible!

She is three for three in 2008!

Uncle Gary is on trash duty and Aunt Dee has camcorder duty.

We had another fun day with family. Amazing how quickly the holidays go by us.
