The Passage sent an email out that they would be having a baptism service
on August 16 while we were in St. Louis for James triathlon & Dr. appointments.
I thought how great to have Brother Scott baptize Alexis since we had not
found a home church here in Ohio yet. I contacted Brother Scott and he said he would be happy to baptize Alexis. The plan was set and I invited
friends and family to join us.
That afternoon the storm rolled in and cancelled the Passage service.
We were staying out in St. Peters and the weather was fine.
We headed back to Florissant only to find the pool was closed and the
service cancelled.
When I called Brother Scott he apologized and said they didn't know how to reach us to let us know what was happening. I was heartbroken as my parents and Mom Williams
had driven from IL to be here. More friends showed
up and Brother Scott said he would come up and
baptize Alexis if they would let us in the pool.
The pool agreed to let us in for the short service during lightening strikes!
Brother Scott explains to Alexis what is going
to happen during the baptism.
She is a little nervous.
